Divergent by: Veronica Roth is a thrilling story of a 16 year old girl and her perfect society. Beatrice started in her peaceful community, Abnegation, which means selfless. No mirrors, no enjoyment, no speaking before you are spoken to because it is seen as selfish. The community puts every 16 year old through a test to make sure they fit in their community. Coated in sweat, the terrifying test resulted inconclusive on Beatrice. She is Divergent. This means that she doesn't fit in any community really, and she doesn't think like the leaders want her to. Beatrice never fit in, and now her life is in danger from her Divergence, so on the fateful Choosing Day, she chose Dauntless. Her new community puts her through tests of fear and endurance which most people shut down at the fear, but it just wakes her up. While going through all these hard classes and tests, she slowly falls in love with their instructor, Four. He finds out about her Divergence and tries to protect her from the danger of it, saving her life in the process. In the awful fear tests given, she can manipulate them like no one else can. Will her Divergence save her community, or will it destroy her?
